Among Us - Reflections

EP Review

Here's a heavy treat from New Jersey called Among Us with their EP, Reflections. The members are Bryan Brenizer, vocalist; Rich Maczuga, guitarist; James Suprenant, drummer;  and Mark Zamorski, bassist. Keep your eyes and ears peeled as they work on a full length release this Fall.

“Permanent” is a masterfully heavy song with discordant buzzing guitars and Brian’s clear sharp voice that purrs like a svelte black cat. Very impressive and ambitious from the get-go. “Dear Hate” has a beautiful sound and equally beautiful message. Deep and introspective.

“Gone Too Soon” has a crisp drum/bass interplay with a progressive flavor to its guitar work. And never least, “Chemicals is a weighty track with a badass breakdown, chugging bass and primal savage vocals. Wild abandon felt on that track.

Reflections is a forward-thinking, mind-bending, proficient work. Definitely awaiting more from the Among Us quartet.
