Wayland - Rinse and Repeat

Album Review

By:  Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist Boston Rock Radio

Wayland’s album
Rinse and Repeat is quite a hard rockin’ decadent treat. The band formed in 2010 and arrive on the scene from Wayland, Michigan.  The quartet is Mitch Arnold, lead vocals/guitar, Phillip Vilenski, lead guitar/vocals, Dean Pizzazz, bass/vocals and drummer Nigel Dupree. This collection feels like good old-fashioned  classic rock, the kind you want to crank up on your next tailgate party.

You will sense the solid sophistication and a palpable sense of soul on songs such as "Welcome to My Head" and "On My Knees". They are absolutely lavish on guitars. "From the Other Side" has a Southern rock kick, aka Creedence style. Who can help but love these hallowed grooves. "All We Had" is slower, soulful with Mitch's magically rich voice.

I admire a band with such synergistic chemistry. Stand back, surrender your busy schedule and submit, reverent and hypnotized, to their charm.

For more in depth information on the band and the release, stay tuned for Nina’s interview with Mitch.
