Exhibit 1: Prelude to the Dead World Album Review

Pitch your guts in a blender, add a large helping of death metal, a decent shot of black metal, a hint of thrash and a chunk of hardcore; mix well and that's Crypitus. Hailing from Vermont (!),  the fledgling quartet of Douglas Friend, Peter Snee, Zach Patch and Joe Menard release Exhibit 1: Prelude to the Dead World.

With head-rattling gallops and sinister savage vocals, these men are not afraid to embrace massive riffs nor crank up the pace to insane levels. The sound has such a chaotic delivery and an abrasive edge yet a crisp feel. A nice little treat for us death metal demons. I am fondly reminded of the tape trading days of heavy metal with that endearing unfiltered angry vibe.
