THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH ALBUM REVIEW

UNTRAVELED ROADS

Thousand Foot Krutch, formed in 1995, originate from the gorgeous, wild landscape of Canada. Their latest release, Untraveled Roads, is a live album from the Winter Jam Tour. The lineup is Trevor McNevan, vocalist, Joel Gruyere, bassist, Steve Augustine, drummer and Andrew Welch on guitar.

Most notable about this band is their songs offer something positive, something aggressive yet therapeutic. These are crafted songs that are impressive, brave and beautiful. With their combination of memorable melodies, distinctive vocal styling and pulverizing riffs, this is fun-times arena rock at its height.

Trevor seems to capture the hearts of the fans with his charisma and stamina.  He has this silvery clear voice and from a listen I can picture how he engages the crowd. The overall sound is progressive hard rock with hints of rap/nu metal and even a touch of hardcore in the song "Let the Sparks Fly.”  "Untraveled Road" is a thoroughly fist-pumping song with a positive theme- to rise above.

Songs such as " Running With Giants” and "Light Up the Sky" exhibit the band's lively, enjoyable and fun- fueled energy.  With its brilliantly positive vibe and metallic driving vocals, this album will boost you up on your worst days.

Stay tuned for Nina’s interview with Trevor to discuss the album further.
