Kingsmen Music Review

Revenge, Forgiveness, Recovery

By:  Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Rhode Island is quite a tiny state, most likely only known for its beaches and the Providence Waterfire. But make no mistake..nestled in my home state is this unified metal community, like a family. From this metal community surges this powerhouse of a band ...Kingsmen.  I can't even begin to praise this melodic deathcore quintet enough. Seeing them perform is the epitome of an experience. Their audience interaction is most admirable and any one of the band members have no qualms about being amongst the company of their fans. They are truly personable as well as deathcore talented.

From the onset their album captures you in its grip. You can feel each note. Mind bending vocals of Tanner Guimond, Tim Lucier and Frank Soltys with their crushing guitars and the neck- breaking duo of drums (Dylan Robertson) and bass (Adam Bakelman) flood your senses until you can feel it pulse all the way down your spine.

Multiple times since day one, I have seen them live and can only describe it as a rush of "Hell yes!" right to your very bones. After their final song lingers, there's this extreme energy of yearning for more. Don't miss them coming to Fete in Providence on October 8th. Keep your eyes peeled as they grow in magnitude and snag you to the core.
