From their Facebook bio: “Message From Sylvia’s ultimate goal is to have their music reach as many people as possible around the world and for their music to inspire and encourage listeners.”

What is there to say when something hits you on your soul level? A lot of “the feels”, that’s what happened right there. This could have been my theme music a few years back, I digress. “A Victim Of Yourself” speaks loudly to the people who are self-absorbed with their demons and negativity -- no judging, cause we’ve all been there. But they lyrics are meant to shatter your “self” and wake you up. Get out of that funk, man. I keep going back to “Crystal Ball”. The opening, as if through a sealed package, it erupts, then slows to bring you the right amount of meaning with the music and the lyrics. The build of the bass and lead guitar give way to the impending feeling of loss in Matthew Nevitt’s voice through the song as it progresses.

Each piece shines as its own. My favorite beat for drums has to be “Never Want To See You Again”. The layers under what sticks out to you personally, are really well melded. There is something about listening on a pair of good headphones that earbuds or a car stereo just can’t do well enough for you. Kick it old school and throw your big ol’ headphones on, close your eyes and listen to ALL of it. The screams in the background, the instrumental solos, the interesting sounds tossed into the music, there is just so much. This LP is mixed perfectly, it is evident that so much went into all of it. Well done, MFS! Be sure to check out their video for “Heart of War” -- https://youtu.be/76pMRrz626k
