Album Review By Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

Bad Bones hail from Italy and deliver a raucous good time with their latest release High Rollers. They formed in 2007 and have shared the stage with Youth Brigade, Murphy's Law, Adam Bomb, Extreme, Bulldozer and Sadist. The musicians are Max Malmerenda (vocals), Sergio Aschieris (guitar), Steve Balocco (bass) and Lele Balocco (drums). After a thorough listen I can conclude “Bloody hell, this is good.” The album is all fun, anthemic rock and roll and if you were a fan of Slaughter, Tesla, Europe, Trixter and the like, you're going to enjoy this.

“American Days” blazes away with riffs aplenty. “Lost Again” brings me back to the heyday of 80s hard rock and metal but with a more modern twist. ”Wild Rose” is all AOR/glam metal without the cheese; the songs have a lot of melody and groove. “Story of a Broken Bone” slows it down a bit, although not entirely bad it was not my favorite. And finally a cover of The Steve Miller Band's “Rock’n Me” which was perfectly done. I thoroughly loved it. Bad Bones combines everything that is good and different about modern rock into a sleek listenable whole.
