Album Review by Allyson Kingsley, Journalist Boston Rock Radio

Texans do not do things small; they never have throughout history. With this musical venture, it is no less different. Releasing via Heaven and Hell Records are Texas Metal Outlaws. This heavy metal project features multiple musicians whose own careers have made them veterans in their own right.

Title track “Texas Metal Outlaws” rides in like a savage beast with absolutely breathtakingly monstrous fretwork. Vocals are phenomenal, aggressive and edgy. “Malt Liquor Maniac” (my choice pick on this album) goes deeper, darker almost skin stripping thrash style with tremendous powerful drumming and neck snapping nitro propelled riffs.

Speaking off riffs, just take a good listen to the massive attack of molten guitar work on “Running From the Law,” my second choice contender. “Sound of Scorn” is a bit on the Sabbath sound with the instrumentation but add some out of this world Halford like vocals. “Echoes of Memory” is a perfect mix of speed/thrash with power metal elements and just outright kicks ass. This entire album kicks ass and the power that pours from it is truly staggering. Texas Metal Outlaws are vicious sounding, possessing punishing and dense clarity and is probably one of the heaviest albums aside from the new Judas Priest album this far this year. I have quoted the list of musicians below with their respective bands and I say this- if you have not heard of some of the bands do some research. You won't regret it and it's a perfect way to assault your eardrums.

The complete list of players on Texas Metal Outlaws is as follows:
