Album Review by Allyson Kingsley, Music Journalist

 Boston Rock Radio

Evilon is:

 Joel Sundell : vocals (growl)

 Bjorn Wildjärn: bass/clean vocals

 Anders Hegen: drums

 Kenneth Evstrand: guitar

 Jonny Sj[ödin: guitar

I sometimes think to myself how much I would love to travel to Europe, especially areas such as the UK, Norway, Scotland and Sweden. Not for the tourist crap but to experience what being a metalhead is like overseas. I see musicians post videos of their fans in European performances and they just seem so much more into it. So here I have an offering from Sweden called Evilon. Sweden was well known for their Gothenburg metal sound (look it up if you're clueless) of which I adore. But there are far more styles and bands to behold. I was mightily impressed by Leviathan, the upcoming release by Evilon.

The title track “Leviathan” has a beautifully molded song structure with flowing riffs and the vocals are perfect. You get a sense of mythological wonder as you listen to “The King of a Thousand Suns.” Evilon immerse their music in Norse and Celtic mythology. Check out the rolling riffs and rhythms on “The Sacred. An exemplary album that I would love to see performed live.
