As insidious as the band's name is, Nightmarer deliver a sinister doom/death metal wall of sound via their debut full length album Cacophony of Terror. The track “Stahlwald” features a deep bruising sound, rhythmic bass and drumming and harsh raw vocals. “Bleach” is thoroughly menacing with ominous bestial vocals. My personal favorite “Skinner” was dark, black and direful and I was reminded of Venom Inc's “Deine Fleisch” as it is full of disquieting tones, music to my ears. “Tidal Waves of Terror” states it all in the title..a tidal wave of the forbidden and savage.
Cacophony of Terror pleases the beast in us all.
