Junkie Dildoz

VRec Music

Review by Allyson Kingsley Music Journalist with Boston Rock Radio

What a delectable treat to receive a review request for some sleaze/horror metal...right up my alley. Junkie Dildoz stem from Florence, Italy and have been rocking stages since 2008. They have opened for Reckless Love, Pretty Boy Floyd, Vains of Jenna, Warrior Soul and Toxic Rose among others. Since 2011 they have been running the Fuck You We Rock Festival geared towards the discovery of underground bands. The members are Tommy Blazer (vocalist), Brian Ancillotti (drummer), David Puliti (guitar, backing vocalist), and Daniele Petri (bassist, backing vocalist). I  highly commend them for keeping the sleaze metal scene alive and thriving.

The track “Bastard” is a flurry of heavy duty guitar riffing and kickass drumming. Tommy's vocal work is edgy and far from being cheesy. “Loud Town” continues with epic fretwork and again bringing sleaze metal to a modern badass era. I thoroughly loved both songs on this mini album and hope to hear much more from Junkie Dildoz.  Keep the sleaze/glam scene alive as there are absolutely many talented musicians embedded in this scene.
