Album review by Allyson Kingsley Music Journalist with Boston Rock Radio

From the Mouth of Madness is classic old school death metal, the fourth album from Johansson & Speckmann. The team of Paul Speckmann (vocalist, Master) and Rogga Johansson (bassist/guitarist Ribspreader) combine with drummer, Brynjar Helgetun, and lead guitarist ,Kjetil Lynghaug, to deliver dark slabs of gruesome death metal. Their discography includes Sulphur Skies (2013), Mask of the Treacherous(2015) and Edge of the Abyss (2016).

“The Demons Night" kicks you in the skull right off and full throttle and Brynjar kicks up dust with his battering ram drumming on this and all songs. “Is This Just Virtual"  is an all out hair trigger assault of bass and guitar aggression. Even with the viscous vocals the lyrics are easily heard. Check out the pit inducing track “Remove the Creep," badass classic evil metal. “Heal the Strain" and “Condemned" are spiralling masses of riffage.

Overall the writing,  delivery and dynamics impress and the diabolic vocals are a rekindling of a fiery age of death metal.
