Album Released: February 5, 2018

Song Review by Gabe Straight

Boston Rock Radio

Hey you! Yeah, you. The person reading this right now. Are you a fan of Fall Out Boy? Yes? Alright, good. Now, did you listen to their last album and feel like it could’ve been executed better? Yes? Glad we’re on the same page. Now is the time where I introduce you to my boys THE FAIM, premiering their new single “Saints of the Sinners.

This single is everything I wanted Fall Out Boy to do on their last album but didn’t. I honestly don’t know where to start with these guys. The production gives everything a beautiful punch, the drums are gritty and full. Lead vocalist Josh Raven delivers a passionate performance, tipping his cap to his contemporary Brendon Urie. The song starts with a lumbering pitch-modified chant, which quickly pile drives into a chorus of epic proportions. The chorus isn’t just good, it’s catchy. It follows a pop structure and adds a sense of grit and power at the same time. This song is power pop as it should be: passionate, crisp, epic, fun.

THE FAIM has broken into my apartment, cut out my heart, cannonballed out my window, and successfully stolen my heart and taken their claim for my new favorite band. Everyone else can go home.
