Horns High

Album review by Allyson Kingsley Music Journalist with Boston Rock Radio

For my final review of 2017 I introduce you to Sygnal to Noise, a hard rock band from Maine. The members are Mark “Coopa" Cooper on guitar and lead vocals, Austin Cooper on drums, John “The Viking" Giddings on bass and backup vocals and “Dirty Dave" Graham on guitar. Since their formation in 2012 they have been nominated Best in Maine 2014 by New England Music Awards and best international band in 2015 by TBFM out of the UK. I can thoroughly see why as they kick major ass.

The song “Cliche" is very gripping, the fretwork is amazing and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful.  “Horns High" is a song giving honor to rock n roll; where the hell would we be without it?  “Politician Man" is a cranking track about Trump and basically all politicians inherent idiocy. Excellent guitar riffs and solos, high powered momentum, and silvery vocals are present throughout the entire album. And last but not least is a cover of Billy Squier’s “Lonely is the Night" which is done to absolute perfection, thoroughly badass.

They will be performing at The Eve of Eve Bash on December 30th Live at 212 in Westbrook, Maine. Shout out to Bullmoose Music record store for their support this New England group as well as multiple others.
